Randy Beranek - President and CEO
Mr. Beranek joined the National Psoriasis Foundation in 2008 as its president and CEO. In his role, he drives the Foundation's strategic direction in support of its mission and the needs of the psoriasis community. He comes to the organization with more than 24 years of executive-level experience in large, nonprofit health organizations. Mr. Beranek has a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and rhetorical criticism from the University of Iowa, Iowa City.
Bill Cardamon - Chief Field Operations Officer
Mr. Cardamon joined the National Psoriasis Foundation as chief field services officer in Oct. 2008, bringing nearly 25 years of progressive experience in the nonprofit, health agency sector. In his role, Mr. Cardamon is responsible for fundraising and community development activities. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Iowa State University in Ames, and attended the Columbia University Institute for Not-for-Profit Management.
Bruce Bebo, Jr., Ph.D. - Director of Research
Dr. Bebo joined the Foundation as Director of Research in 2008. He comes to the foundation with 20 years of experience in autoimmune disease research. After receiving his Ph.D. in immunology from Texas A&M University, he completed post-doctoral training at the Portland VA Medical Center, and then served on the research faculty at Oregon Health and Science University. Prior to coming to the Foundation, Dr. Bebo was the director of immunology research for a specialty pharmaceutical company in Germany, developing new topical and oral treatments for skin diseases including psoriasis.
Catie Coman - Director of Communications
Ms. Coman joined the National Psoriasis Foundation in 2006 managing the organization's membership and annual giving program. In 2008, she became the director of communications. She has more than 15 years working in the nonprofit sector, focusing on organizational development, communications and fundraising. Ms. Coman has a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations from San Jose State University and a Master of Arts in communication studies from University of Portland.
Bette Drake - Director of Finance
Ms. Drake joined the National Psoriasis Foundation in 2002 as the director of finance. She is responsible for overseeing the Foundation's finance department. Her background includes public accounting in the private and nonprofit sectors. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Portland State University.
Jackie Groah – Director of Strategic Alliances
Ms. Groah joined the National Psoriasis Foundation in 2007, managing the organization’s corporate relationships. In 2010, she became the director of strategic alliances. With nearly 15 years’ experience in health care and nonprofit fundraising, Ms. Groah is responsible for forging partnerships with corporations to fund research, advocacy and educational activities and programs. She manages corporate fundraising and all advertising activities. Ms. Groah has a Bachelor of Arts in communication from San Diego State University.
Jennifer Hepler - Director of Operations
Ms. Hepler has been with the National Psoriasis Foundation since 1993 and has worked in a variety of capacities. For the past several years, she has overseen the development and maintenance of the organization's database, fulfillment and technology systems. Ms. Hepler has a bachelor's degree in literature and secondary education from Pacific University.
Sally Spaid Norby - Director of Training & Organizational Development
Ms. Norby joined the Foundation in 2011 in the newly created position of Director of Training & Organizational Development. She brings over 30 years of progressive experience in the nonprofit, health agency sector, and has considerable experience in community development, training, staff and volunteer management and fund raising. She is responsible for defining, creating and implementing strategies to improve operations and service delivery. Ms. Norby has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Sheila Rittenberg - Senior Director, Advocacy and External Affairs
Ms. Rittenberg joined the National Psoriasis Foundation in 2002 as the director of corporate and foundation relations and in 2004 became the director of advocacy, focusing on access to care issues and increasing federal funds allocated to the diseases. She has experience in community development, marketing, and fund raising in the nonprofit and corporate sectors. Ms. Rittenberg has a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from Sir George Williams University, Montreal, Canada.
